Exam results – congratulations to the pupils & staff at St. Richard Gwyn for their excellent A level & GCSE results.  A new record was set at GCSE with 75% of pupils achieving an A* to C at GCSE and 99% getting an A* to G.  Also, 100% of students gained at least one A Level pass.

 

Talks on the Faith – for anybody interested in becoming a Catholic, the introductory meeting will be held in the Convent on Monday 7th September at 7.30pm.  Please pass these details on to anybody who would like to attend.

 

Bible Study Group – the next meeting will be on Thursday 17th September, 7.30pm at the Convent.

 

Queen of Peace Day of Prayer – Saturday 12th September at Pantasaph Friary.  The day will begin at 10.30am with prayer of the rosary and ends with Mass at 4pm.  The prayer programme is rosary, confessions, adoration and Mass.  Everyone is welcome.  Tea & coffee will be available but please bring a packed lunch.

 

Relics of St Therese – there are still a few places available on coach to Liverpool Cathedral on Thursday 24th Sept, the cost is £6.  Assemble at Bl. Sacrament Church @ 4.45pm to depart @ 5pm at the latest; we hope to board the bus to return home at 9.30pm.  Phone the Sisters on 830692.  If you wish to go on the Friday coach you will need to contact Irene Dale from Queensferry Parish.

 

Traidcraft Roadshow – on Thursday 10th Sept, 2-6pm at the Quaker House, Frodasham St. Chester

 

September is “Awareness Month for the SVP”.  The theme is “Changing Lives for the Better”, showing the work that the SVP do.  This is not to collect money, but to try and recruit new members.  Next weekend there will be a lectern address at all Masses, and there will be different poster in the Porch each week.
